After years of faithful service to Conservation Districts across the state, Tina Blum has announced her retirement, effective after our annual conference in Myrtle Beach. Tina has been the glue that has held us together, and we will miss her dedication, ideas, and encouragement.
The South Carolina Association of Conservation Districts (SCACD) would like to inform Conservation District leaders that, due to the Federal Government entering a shutdown period, all reimbursement submissions through the Contribution Agreement and Cooperative Agreement must be paused at this time. Governor Henry McMaster has issued a proclamation recognizing April 25 – May 1 as Soil and Water Stewardship Week. We appreciate Governor McMaster recognizing the valuable contribution of Conservation Districts to a sound environment, a strong economy, and the vibrancy of agriculture, forestry, and natural resources in South Carolina.
