Governor Henry McMaster has issued a proclamation recognizing April 25 – May 1 as Soil and Water Stewardship Week. We appreciate Governor McMaster recognizing the valuable contribution of Conservation Districts to a sound environment, a strong economy, and the vibrancy of agriculture, forestry, and natural resources in South Carolina.
After years of faithful service to Conservation Districts across the state, Tina Blum has announced her retirement, effective after our annual conference in Myrtle Beach. Tina has been the glue that has held us together, and we will miss her dedication, ideas, and encouragement.
We are proud to share that Joe Ghent of Lancaster, South Carolina, has been inducted into the Southeast Region Conservation Hall of Fame.
